For 3 years Simone played Helen Stewart on the ITV hit drama series Bad Girls. We followed Helen Stewart's career changes and the up and downs with her love life, most notebly her love affair with inmate Nikki Wade (Mandana Jones).
Nikki and Helen became one of the greatest love stories of all time on modern television. Some would argue that it is the greatest! Their love broke so many rules but also broke down so many stereotypical images of lesbians and gays in todays society. For some they were an inspiration, making some fans lives change forever, for others it was just a beautiful love story... And yes we finally did get our happy ending! But not without the pain and heart ache that true love can bring first.
An amazing achievement for Simone and Mandana as actresses to play the roles with such understanding and belief. We can only thank them for their portrayal. It truely was unique.
