HELEN STEWART
Helen is a complicated woman, at least at the start. When she first arrives at Larkhall she is the young new Governor that Jim Fenner and Sylvia Hollamby just love to hate. She graduated and had little experience in the prison system, this is probably her first real big job within it.
Her love life is complicated, she begins with Sean Parr, a landscape gardener, a rather selfish posh git! Then she meets Nikki and starts to question her love for Sean, while she falls for Nikki. It is not until Nikki pushes Helen's emotions to the limit that she finally realises she cant marry Sean. After a holiday Helen returns and admits her love for Nikki, to herself first of all and then to Nikki.
Over a year later, still fighting for Nikki's appeal they both break up. A new man comes into her life, Dr Thomas Waugh and Helen tries to love him so she can have that normal life. However, love isn't that simple and she is soon made to realises that there is only one way forward and that is with a woman, and that woman is Nikki!
